Learning Endeavors
My Contributions to Innovation:
In 2014, we launched Learning Endeavors, a 501c3 non-profit organization, in order to develop and facilitate innovative programs for education in Hawai’i.  Via two NOAA Bay Watershed Education and Training grant awards and a variety of local partnerships, we engaged thousands of students and just over one hundred teachers in learning opportunities focused on innovative watershed citizen science integrating cutting edge technology, field based data collection, and participation in live events. . GeoExplorers summer camps provided additional, similar opportunities investigating native forest, riparian, wetland, and coastal intertidal ecosystems and engaging in citizen science.
